Candle Care

How to Care for Your Candles

Thank you for buying a Mille Fleurs fragrant soy candle. We want you to enjoy one of the best luxury candles on the market, but before you do, please read the following instructions to get the most out of your candle.

  1. Trim the Wick: Be sure to trim the wick to approximately ¼ inch above the wax. Cutting it too short will cause the flame to burn improperly.
  2. First Burn: When you first light the candle, make sure it burns until a pool of wax is created from side to side before you extinguish it. This usually takes approximately 1 hour. If it is extinguished too early on the first burn, the candle may begin to tunnel (burn in the center without using all the wax).
  3. Burn Time: For safety purposes and to ensure the candle remains fragrant for its entire life, only burn the candle in 4-hour increments. Burning it longer than 4 hours can be hazardous.
  4. Safety Precautions: Never leave the candle unattended and keep it away from flammable objects. This is for your safety as well as those around you.
  5. Follow Instructions: Always follow the instructions written on the bottom of the candle.

NOTE: Some fragrances may “mushroom” (soot buildup on the tip of the wick) due to the heavy elements and essential oils in the fragrance.  If this is the case, the wick should be trimmed before every burn.

Enjoy!

Packaging

Each candle is lovingly handcrafted and wrapped with tender care, a quiet testament to the art of thoughtful gifting. The 4-ounce and 8-ounce sizes nestle within frosted black glass, crowned with warm bamboo lids that whisper of nature’s grace. The 16-ounce candle, bold and refined, rests in a deep black vessel sealed with a sleek metal lid—an ode to modern sophistication.

Before they journey to you, each candle is gently swathed in soft tissue, then tucked into a black box adorned with the Mille Flures emblem, the candle’s name, and its size. A satin bow finishes the ensemble like a final flourish on a love letter, transforming every candle into a gift of warmth, beauty, and quiet luxury.
